Your first API request
Get a key, collect a web page, and put the response to work.
1. Get access
FactGet is invite-only. Request Access, then sign in once your invitation is ready.
2. Create an API key
Open Crawl → API keys in the console. Create a key with the scope needed for your request and store it on your server.
export FACTGET_CRAWL_KEY="YOUR_CRAWL_API_KEY"3. Send a request
This example requests markdown and links from a public page. Replace the URL with a source you need to read.
curl --request POST \
--url 'https://factget.dev/crawl/v1/scrape' \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $FACTGET_CRAWL_KEY" \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{
"url": "https://example.com",
"formats": [
"markdown",
"links"
],
"onlyMainContent": true
}'Replace IDs and sample values with your own. Examples are not executed in your browser.
4. Handle the result
A completed scrape returns the page data. If the request exceeds its waiting time, the API returns 202 with a job ID and status URL. Poll that URL for the result.
API requests consume your account’s usage allowance. This documentation does not send requests on your behalf.
